Hi Yogis!

Ever thought of having a machine do your Pranayam, while you read the newspaper, or sunbathed!? Well, an Indian farmer has just invented the first worthwhile (?) machine in the 5,000-year-old yoga tradition. Imagine the ancient Yogis, even Lord Shiva himself, wearing shades that did the breathing stuff while they relaxed? What!?

Yes, that’s what I thought, but kudos to this man’s innovativeness – have a look at this link. He’s just invented the shades that do Anulom-Vilom, and is now trying to invent shades that do Bhramari!!

The other story today is from the opposite end of the Yoga spectrum. An 82-year old Indian Yogi “Mataji”, who’s just popularized a whole new diet fad. Please be warned this one’s not for the average dieter though! The old man’s secret to staying fit? – he’s not eaten or drunk water for the last 65 years!

Yes, I know what you’re thinking; this is one of those obscure miracle yogis who randomly hear about in the countryside. We’re both wrong – this one has just undergone a 15 day medical examination in Delhi. And guess what – he’s as good as if he just finished his graduation yesterday!

If all this hasn’t got you laughing, then you really need to enroll in one of the Laughter Yoga clubs! Maybe that might help. Check this out – apparently the body cannot make out the difference between real and fake laughter! The limbic system of the brain perceives it as the real thing, and there are several Health benefits from the most obvious physical expression of Happiness! Go on, laugh a while – its good for you.
