Yoga Improves Lung Function in Patients shows AIIMS study
Researchers from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have found that yoga improves pulmonary lung function and breathing capacity in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). “Yoga is a cost-effective form of rehabilitation and is as effective as a standard PMR (pulmonary rehabilitation)”, say the AIIMS research team, adding that doing yoga exercises provides significant improvement in shortness of breath, lung functions and pulmonary inflammations. KitTea Cafe to host its Feline Yoga Patrons!
And now from the world of wacky….. San Francisco’s cat cafe KitTea is making good of its ‘pet’ promises, and is now hosting regular yoga classes in its cat lounge spaces. The cafe’s resident felines will keep the cat-loving yoga enthusiasts company as they flow through the breathing and restorative poses. The sessions will be followed by a head-should massage, a pot of herbal tea and a 30-min restorative kitty cuddle time!! The cafe also has plans to start “mewwie” nights, screening cat themed movies.
