Yoga degrees trend amongst BHU students.
In a surprising trend, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) witnesses an increased interest among students for certificate and diploma courses in yoga has been witnessed in the new academic session. Yoga is fast emerging as a vialble career option and Prime Minister Modi’s vigorous yoga campaign has given the cause a strong leg up. students from almost all the faculties and departments, from all walks of life are looking tpwards yoga as a professional option. Putin pledges to try yoga
Russian President Vladimir Putin, well known for his “manly” sports pursuits, has promised to give yoga a try. Mr Putin made the pledge to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a recent meeting, a gesture that is being seen as representative of his friendship towards the Indian premier. Ironically, the Russian city of recently banned yoga on the grounds that it promotes “religious cults”. Read more here>>
Yoga class tortures, then trains Duke football players
Joining a long of athletes, many of the Duke University’s football players have now added yoga classes to their training sessions. The practice has brought about marked improvements in their flexibility, balance, strength and mental conditioning. Read about their amazing yoga experience here>>
