Yoga is a proven method to ease chronic pain
A change in the anatomy of the brain caused by chronic pain can lead to impairment such as memory loss, emotional problems or decreased cognitive functioning. Alterations in grey matter volume and white matter integrity in the human brain are said to be caused by the effects of chronic pain. Studies show yoga practitioners have more grey matter than controls in multiple brain regions, including those involved in pain modulation.
