After the sumptuous eating during the festive season of Dussehra, it’s time to get back into a healthy lifestyle. That includes committing to Yoga practice daily and making sensible choices to improve eating, rest & sleep and everything else that makes you Healthy and also Mindful! It’s 1 Month of re-jigging many things in your lifestyle…to help you FIND YOUR FIRE!

Starting October 26th, we’re beginning a 1 Month Total Yoga challenge. As you already know, we represent a holistic view of Yoga itself and so we’ve divided the challenge into 4 weeks – helping with Body, Mind & Spirit.

Note: Once you’ve done the Week 1 challenge, continue doing the same in Week 2 in addition to that week’s challenge. So, by the end of 4 weeks…you’ll be doing all 4 Challenges!

Week 1: Practice 50 Surya Namaskaars daily! This is in continuation of our previous 21 Days – 1,080 Surya Namaskaar challenge. 50 Sun Salutations a day will help you get started on this challenge and create the Energy in you to overcome the ‘Tamasic’ or lethargy/ inertia in you.

Week 2: Practice and attempt to master Sirsasana! Sirsasana is often called the King of Asanas and while it’s not essential, it’s certainly one of the most iconic yogasanas. Usually preparing for and finally being able to do Sirsasana is a memorable milestone for any yoga practitioner. It instils a sense of confidence in your body and a belief in it’s ability to go beyond long-held limitations.

Week 3: Practice 10 rounds of Anulom-Vilom Pranayam daily! After the preparation of the first 2 weeks, it’s time to step up to training the Mind more seriously. Anulom-Vilom is the most important Pranayam technique and requires patience. The benefits to your Energy levels are there to be felt and it will calm and focus your mind.

Week 4: Meditating for 10 mins daily! The natural progression in Yoga is from Body to Breath to Mind. And so, now that you have strengthened your body and trained your breathing, it’s time to return to the reason you actually started Yoga – to find calmness in your daily life. And that’s what Meditating daily will do for you! Not only will you be able to handle the pressures of life better, you’ll also find that you develop a whole-hearted acceptance of who you are! :) Choose a Meditation that you like, it could be being Aware whilst counting down 11 Breaths, Witnessing your thoughts, Listening to or chanting a Mantra or saying a prayer you’re used to from Childhood.

There you have it, 4 unique challenges in 1 Month that will help with your Body, Mind & Spirit! By the end of this month, you’ll have a far better understanding of Yoga and your own journey…you’ll be closer to being a #totalyogi ! And hopefully you would have FOUND YOUR FIRE!!
